When working with a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) provider, it’s important to know what to expect so you receive the best possible support.
What Should My PBS Provider Do?
✔️ Listen to You – Your provider should take time to understand your needs and goals.
✔️ Create a service agreement – This outlines the support you’ll receive and what you can expect.
✔️ Develop a Behaviour Support plan – They will assess your needs and create a personalised plan to help improve your quality of life.
✔️ Train your support team – They will work with your family, carers, and support workers to ensure they understand how to support you.
✔️ Review andupdate yourplan – Your plan should be checked regularly to ensure it’s effective and updated when necessary.
✔️ Follow NDIS Rules – All PBS providers must follow NDIS guidelines to ensure safety, respect, and quality support.
