DVA Mental Health Care Services

Supporting Veterans' Mental Health with Compassionate and Comprehensive Care

At Sigma Therapies, we are committed to providing mental health care tailored to the needs of veterans and their families.

Through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), eligible veterans, current serving members, and their dependents can access mental health support to help navigate the unique challenges that arise from military service.

Our DVA-accredited psychologists offer compassionate, evidence-based therapy to help veterans improve their mental health and wellbeing.

What is DVA Mental Health Care?

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) provides mental health support and services for veterans, current serving members, and their families. Veterans may experience a range of mental health challenges related to their service, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and difficulties with transitioning back to civilian life.

Through DVA funding, veterans and their dependents can access mental health services without worrying about out-of-pocket costs.

Who is Eligible for DVA Mental Health Care?

DVA Mental Health Care is available to:

  • Veterans of the Australian Defence Force (ADF)
  • Current serving members of the ADF
  • Dependents of veterans
  • DVA White Card and Gold Card holders

DVA clients are entitled to 12 sessions per year, or whichever comes first, either 12 months or 12 sessions. Holders of a Gold or White DVA Card are eligible for cost-free treatment of specific conditions that are accepted by the DVA as related to their service.
